Help a student who can’t afford school supplies start the school year equipped to succeed!

Play Pensacola Parks & Recreation and community partners are collecting backpacks and school supplies to help children and families in need at the start of the 2017-18 school year. The children you help through this campaign will be filled with joy, hope and excitement as they enter into the new school year.

New backpacks and school supplies will be collected June 1st through August 4th and then distributed before school starts in August. Donations will benefit children and families near Cobb, Fricker, and Woodland Heights Resource Centers and attending the city's summer camp programs. Families may also sign up to receive a backpack and supplies by contacting Molly Mahtani at the Bayview Senior Center by calling (850) 436-5190 or email mmahtani@cityofpensacola.com

No donation is too large or too small. Last year we were able to help 93 children go back to school prepared with a full backpack of supplies by collecting donations and supplies over just one month.  Haynes Van & Storage sponsored the event last year and has offered again to store any overflow backpacks and supplies we receive so we hope to receive even more donations than last year.
